INTEGRATING BUSINESS AND CULTURE GOALS TO ACHIEVE EXTRAORDINARY RESULTS

Our Motivation

PDG was founded to fundamentally disrupt the status quo of organizational performance by filling a critical gap in the market. Our core motivation stems from a desire to move beyond simply improving results—we aim to fundamentally change mindsets and inspire genuine excellence.

After decades of navigating business structures, cultures, and leadership roles, testing and refining practices and methods, and deepening our expertise, we realized our philosophy about high performance resonates:

  • A “Hard Truths” Approach: We recognize that business outcomes (Profits) cannot be separated from cultural outcomes (People), especially when pursuing extraordinary results
  • Holistic Integration: Sustainable value, innovation, and growth require an integrated approach to performance that addresses both profits and people. Siloed and short-sighted approaches cannot effectively address a dynamic, interconnected system
  • Beyond the Average: We are uniquely positioned to share insights derived from working with the “best of the best” – elite U.S. Intelligence organizations & task forces, special operations teams, and premium global brands – moving beyond what average companies are doing
  • Building Lasting Capability: We believe that teaching organizations “how to fish” by building deep performance literacy and internal capability is essential for long-term health and autonomous, sustained success

PDG isn’t just a consultancy—we are an organization driven by a deep desire to eliminate mediocrity and instill the “secret sauce” of our Performance Architecture Framework.

Our Approach

Our mission at PDG is to create performance-minded individuals, leaders, and organizations that unlock value, drive growth, and achieve measurable, lasting results by integrating business outcomes (profitability) with cultural outcomes (people).

We advance the practical application of Human Performance Improvement (HPI) principles by building on the foundational work of pioneers like Drs. Gilbert, Harless, and Rummler, and leveraging contemporary methodologies such as Dennis Mankin’s proven PerformanceDNA™ approach.

Our work is guided by a fundamental belief that effective, sustainable results require a clear, shared understanding of what superior performance truly means. Here is how PDG defines the foundation of our work:

Our Definition of Organizational Performance:

  • Efficacy: Achieving goals while maintaining organizational health to ensure sustainable success and resilience
  • Analysis: Evaluating actual results against intended results to inform necessary adjustments
  • Awareness: Cultivating full self-awareness within the organization to proactively adapt and capitalize on opportunities

Our Organizational Performance Point of View:

  • All organizations are complex human performance systems because success is about achieving results through people—and people have dimensionality
  • This inherent complexity is not a barrier; it’s why our Performance Architecture Framework is engineered to translate that complexity into your competitive advantage

Our Performance Architecture Definition:

  • A framework to apply systems thinking to deliver sustained organizational value
  • A deliberate design and alignment of all organizational components—processes, systems, technology, roles, culture, and metrics—to create the conditions where high performance is the natural result of people doing their jobs
  • A blueprint that purposefully integrates business and cultural outcomes into organizational strategy that delivers extraordinary results

Our Exclusive Performance Architecture Framework:

We believe that the more effective an organization is at architecting performance, the greater its probability of long-term survival, success, and innovation.

Our Performance Architecture Framework guides all our work. We co-execute the architecture while simultaneously upskilling your internal teams. This combined approach ensures effective execution of strategy and builds the organizational muscle needed to drive self-sustained outcomes.

Effective strategy execution requires a deep understanding, acceptance, and integration of the interplay of four key organizational elements:

  • Performance Layers: We define the key organizational levels accountable for results, ensuring responsibility and decision rights cascade appropriately throughout your organization
  • Performance Discipline: We instill a consistent approach that maintains organizational focus on the ultimate goal and commitment to the process required to achieve it
  • Performance Habits: We cultivate the specific, tailored, and collective behaviors and practices within your organization that directly drive the achievement of desired results
  • Performance Tradecraft: We apply innovative holistic analytic processes, methods, and techniques designed to inform smarter organizational decisions and support human performance systems effectively
